Lighthouse and monument were built at Lindau’s harbor entrance in 1856. The sculpture of the Bavarian Lion on its massive stone foundation is situated on the eastern jetty. Sculptor Johann von Halbig is the creator of this six meters high monument. The »New Lighthouse« with the characteristic clock decorating its façade is situated on the opposite jetty. The model’s service room is equipped with etched parts and blinking LED lights.
