Specific Item Information: Set includes 7 figures, each one different.
Road Name History: What would any model railroad layout be without people? The conductors, engineers, passengers, passers-by and all the many things that people do in their daily lives are what make a model railroad come alive.
Model railroad figures are typically made from molded plastic, but are also available made from resin, pewter and even 3D-printing. They can come in either painted or undecorated form and are available in a wide variety of activities. Not just passengers and crew, but more obscure types of figures are available such as bee-keepers, skaters, sunbathers and fire-fighters.

Brand/Importer Information: Merten was a plastic figure creator based in Berlin Germany. In
the 1990’s Preiser took them over and revived their dated molds. Now in
reliable hands, Merten is producing quality figures with clean mold lines
and detailed painting techniques. Their offerings are similar in many
ways to Preiser, but also include some rare animals and even wedding
figure sets. Some of their offerings include a trimmable base - leave it
on to provide better fixing to the layout or trim it to make the figures
go directly onto the layout.
