Specific Item Information: The 1995 timetable change marked the birth of the Donau-Kurier night train, then still known as EN222/223, but already made up entirely of CityNightline wagons. Two years later, the train route was slightly adapted, the wagon fleet lengthened and the train number changed to CNL 212/213. The Danube Courier from Dortmund to Vienna stopped en route in Essen, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn, Mainz, Frankfurt/Main, Mannheim, Salzburg and Linz. The Donau-Kurier was usually hauled by class 101 electric locomotives.
Road Name History:
City Night Line, abbreviated CNL, was a train category of German railway company Deutsche Bahn for overnight passenger train services between Germany and neighbouring European countries. In late 2015, Deutsche Bahn announced that it planned to terminate all night train services in December 2016, and this plan was implemented on 11 December 2016. The service on some CNL routes was replaced by ÖBB Nightjet services. From Wikipedia
Brand/Importer Information:
L.S. Models is a Belgian firm that was created in 1992 with the purpose of offering models of Belgian variants of European rolling stock; it started by offering customized cars based on Jouef HO models. From 1995 to 2001, it was also the Belgian importer for Jouef, Piko, Electrotren, Rivarossi, Lima, Arnold, Bemo and Sachsenmodelle.
Starting in 2000, L.S. Models designed its own original models, starting with an HO scale version of an exclusive Belgian passenger car. Its range later expanded to N scale models and to other European countries (France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, ...).
Its models are highly detailed and received several prizes; they are priced accordingly.
