Prototype History:
A box trailer is one of the most common trailers in the road transport industry. These trailers are used for transporting all kinds of cargo on the nation's highways.

A 45 foot trailer can typically haul more than 70,000 pounds of cargo and weighs (unladen) about 12,000 pounds. The volume allows for about60 retail sized (48" x 20") pallets. Alternatively, it can hail about 30 Military ISO containers at (35" x 45.5"). This sized trailer is often used for international shipping in North America (Canada and Mexico).
Road Name History:
Stone Container was founded in 1926 as J.H. Stone and Company. In 1945, it incorporated under the name Stone Container Corporation. In the 1950s, Stone expanded outside of Chicago, buying and building corrugated container plants in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. The company acquired facilities from Continental Group in 1983 and acquired additional facilities from Champion International in 1986 and Southwest Forest Industries in 1987.
In November 1998, Stone Corporation merged with Jefferson Smurfit Corporation (JSC) to form Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation (SSCC). Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation was a global paperboard and paper-based packaging company based in Creve Coeur, Missouri, and Chicago, Illinois. It merged with Kappa Packaging in 2005, changing its name to Smurfit Kappa.
Brand/Importer Information:
