Specific Item Information: Constructed between 1875 and 1880, this building housed the Alpine Hose Company No. 2. Unlike many early mining towns in Colorado, Georgetown was never leveled by fire, due in no small part to the dedication and service of the men serving in this company as well as the three other fire companies located in the town.
