Company History: The LRPA was built in 1967 to provide rail service to the City of Little Rock’s port facilities on the Arkansas River. Construction of the railroad was more in expectation than immediate need – it would be five years before a revenue train ran. Today, their 20 miles of track serves more than 20 customers in and around the port. Loaded cars are switched for a flat rate of $300.
Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
