Formed in 1990 the business has grown extensively and successfully over the years establishing a reputation for reliable customer service and support with a strong identity developed from workmanship quality and ability to take on the more challenging and specialised projects for our customers throughout the highlands. The core civil engineering business is supported by our specialist heavy haulage operation capable of moving gross loads of up to 115 tonnes and with an extensive range of heavy earth moving and multi-purpose plant, GF Job are in an excellent position to meet our customer’s needs. The manned excavator fleet ranges from 3 tonne to 50 tonne with both tracked and wheeled versions available along with a range of specialist hydraulic, mechanical attachments and long reach excavators of up to 20m capability. These are accompanied by high output dozers and wheeled loading shovels for bulk earthworks working with the company’s fleet of dump trucks. To cater for specialist civil engineering projects, which may be some distance from quarry markets, our in-house quarrying services are complimented by our range of fully mobile crushers and screens. This enables GF Job to provide construction materials to the more remote construction projects throughout the area by way of onsite borrow pits. Other more recent developments by the company have seen an expertise established in the field of; structural concrete works, civils and ground works, demolition operations, contaminated land remediation, waste management and recycling. This has been on the back of the extensive work the company have been involved with the £100m new build Norbord Europe OSB Factory near Inverness and extensive involvement in the refurbishment and port facilities investment by Global Group at their Nigg Energy Park site in Ross-shire. Further growth in the company has been achieved by our contract crushing and screening operations. This has been through working directly with Tarmac, RJ MacLeod and Breedon Aggregates as well as our own Alvie Quarries playing a key role in the supplies of quarry materials and services to the current A9 dual carriageway construction works near Aviemore.
