Specific Item Information: Prototype: rented from Akiem
Model Information: These models have a metal frame with a 5-pole motor with flywheel and are finely detailed. They are fitted with white and red lights changing with the direction of travel.
Initially developed by Rocky-Rail, the molds have been acquired by REE Modèles when Rocky-Rail decided to drop N scale production. REE Modèles remotorized them and redesigned the circuit board to accommodate more light controls.

Prototype History: Alstom Prima is a family of modular diesel and electric locomotives. For the French market, the Prima has been delivered in electric version as SNCF BB 27000, BB 27300, and BB 37000, and in diesel version as BB 75000. One unit of an experimental quadruple voltage BB 47000 was built, but SNCF did not order the series.
The BB 75000 is a series of 4-axle Bo'Bo'diesel-electric locomotives commissioned by the French state railway SNCF. Ordered in March 2004, they were delivered starting in November 2006. A total of 300 units have been produced. They have been designed for freight operations to renew the ageing CC 72000, BB 67300, BB 67400 and A1A-A1A 68000. It is also classified as Prima DE-30-BA-C in Germany.
This locomotive is the result of a collaboration between Alstom and Siemens. The internal electrical components are similar to those found in the Siemens 'EuroRunner' Rh.2016 made for ÖBB, and the bodyshell, bogies and other equipment being of the Prima type made by Alstom, derived from the SNCF BB 27000.
Power output: 2,700 hp (2,000 kW) and 3,200 hp (2,400 kW)
There are actually 3 sub-series:
- BB 75000 - (75001 to 75099) - with engine MTU 16V 4000 R41 - 2,700 hp (2,000 kW)
- BB 75100 - (75101 to 75133) - with engine MTU 16V 4000 R41 - 2,700 hp (2,000 kW) - able to operate in Germany and Benelux
- BB 75400 - (75401 to 75568) - with engine MTU 16V 4000 R43L - 3,200 hp (2,400 kW)
