Company History:
CCT launched as an interurban line in 1905 and within 5 years had built a route from Stockton through Lodi to Sacramento, California. In 1928, CCT was jointly purchased by Southern Pacific, Santa Fe and Western Pacific. Passenger service ended in 1933 and they switched from electric to diesel power in 1946. The Sacramento to Lodi segment has been inactive since 1998 but freight service continues on the Stockton-Lodi portion. They also operate the Stockton Public Belt Railroad.
