Prototype History: In 1986 the production of a new heavy duty series F90 began. The trucks had GVW more than 18 tons and won the award "Truck of the Year 1987." The trucks were equipped with in-line 6-cylinder engines, turbocharged and intercooled, with power from 150 to 360 hp, front disc brakes, ABS, hypoid main gear and new planetary reduction gears. The cabs meet the new requirements for safety and ergonomics. Special version "Silent" has comfortable suspension of the cab and enhanced sound insulation.
Road Name History: In 1900, Edmund Münster from Germany take over the liquorice company “Düsseldorfer Lakritzenwerk”. Until the early 1930’s, the liquorice products took centre stage above the rest of the sweet manufacturing.
The Bonn confectionery producer HARIBO acquires the Edmund Münster company in 1986, which was temporarily moved to a modern factory in Neuss. The HARIBO Group receive the trademark and MAOAM receive lots of gummy bears as new brothers and sisters.
