Description: The caliber 7619 mechanism is found in certain Seiko 5 "Sportsmatics" of the 1960s. The Sportsmatics are considered a notch or two below the quality of the Seikomatics of the same period. The 7619 Sportsmatics are considered "higher end" than the 7625 versions which are more common. The 7619 replaced the 7606 in the Seiko lineup around 1965. The 7619 mechanism can be manually wound and supports hacking. The power reserve will permit this mechanism to continue to run for up to 32 hours with no winding (manual or automatic). It is a 25 jewel mechanism and runs at 18,000 bph - five beats per second. It only appears in a relatively small number of Seiko 5 products.
