Description:
The 6106 is a 25 jewel movement. It comes in three variations, the 6106A, 6196B and 6106C. The rotor on the 6106 A is held in place by two screws unlike the B and C variants which are held by a single screw. Unlike the B and C variants, the 6106A does not have Diafix installations on the train bridge for the escape and third wheels. The main plate has Diafix installations for the B and C variants, unlike the 6106A which uses regular jewels. The shaft of the minute wheel on the 6106A is hollow and revolves around a pivot. The B&C variants use a solid shaft.

The C variant has a quickset mechanism to allow the day as wells as the date to be changed by pushing in the crown. The C variant also makes use of some plastic parts. Plastic can be useful for low stress parts as it is self-lubricating. Unfortunately plastic also has a shorter lifespan.
