Company History: The city owned ERRwy opened for business in 1908 providing streetcar service in Edmonton, Alberta. The charter allowed ERR to build out to communities within an 80 mile radius and shortly after opening they acquired the Strathcona Radial Tramway Company (the term Radial Railway is frequently used in Canada to describe a traction line linking the city center with the suburbs.) The ERRwy peaked in 1920 with 56 miles of line on 8 routes. In 1951, the last ERRwy streetcars were replaced with buses.
Brief History: Canada is a North American country stretching from the U.S. in the south to the Arctic Circle in the north. Major cities include massive Toronto, west coast film centre Vancouver, French-speaking Montréal and Québec City, and capital city Ottawa. Canada's vast swaths of wilderness include lake-filled Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains. It's also home to Niagara Falls, a famous group of massive waterfalls.
