Company History: Starting in 2013, we initially dedicated ourselves to preserving historic, high-quality rail vehicles. From this we developed the idea of refurbishing older vehicles and keeping them available for scheduled use in passenger transport. This is how we developed into a service provider for replacement and emergency transport – between “pure vehicle rental” and operational “full service”. We can now name almost all major transport companies in Germany on our reference list and operate our trains between the Alps and the North Sea. In order to be able to operate flexibly, we rely on the classic, proven locomotive-carriage principle, if possible with our own locomotives from the 110 (E10), 111 and 113 (E10.12) series, but alternatively also with modern three-phase locomotives.
Since December 2018, we have been running additional trains in North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the “Special Trains NRW” transport contract, e.g. to major and sporting events on behalf of the regional rail transport authorities VRR, NWL and GoRheinland.
Our range of services extends from S-Bahn traffic at short intervals to RB amplifier services and RE connections on medium-haul routes as well as point-to-point traffic in Bundesliga traffic.
For this purpose, we permanently have at least two train sets with high seating capacity ready for use.
In June 2022, we started scheduled replacement services with our own trains on the Stuttgart - Tübingen and Bretten - Bruchsal routes in Baden-Württemberg on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and the transport authority NVBW. The reason for this is the conversion of the multiple units that normally run there to the new ETCS signaling technology as part of the Stuttgart 21 project.
From December 2022, we were able to significantly expand our offering and now also serve the connections Stuttgart - Würzburg, Stuttgart - Nuremberg and Stuttgart - Aalen. The contracts have a term of several years. For this purpose, we are constantly expanding our vehicle fleet:
We currently own 15 mainline locomotives and over 100 passenger cars. These now also include sleeping cars, couchette cars and dining cars, some of which can travel at 200 km/h. This is now followed by air-conditioned double-decker cars for modern local transport.
But we have not forgotten our basic idea of preserving historic vehicles: we are currently preparing to refurbish our own E 103 express locomotive.
All business areas are looked after around the clock by a highly motivated and competent, friendly team. Our control center, which is equipped with the latest technology and is always present, has all TRI trains nationwide under control. On site, our employees impress our customers with their competence and good humor. Our passengers have already written compliments, brought little things on board as thanks and nominated them for “Railroadman with a Heart”.
