Company History: Around 1866 Dr. Heinrich Schlinck developed a method to extract the fat from the coconut and prepare it as cooking fat. In 1882 he registered the patent and the product came onto the market in 1887 under the name “Mannheimer Coconut Fat”. In 1894 the name was changed to “Palmin®”. The wolf angel from the Mannheim coat of arms gives the logo its characteristic shape.
