Company History: The C&C was built in 1907 by the Caddo River Lumber Company to move logs from Cooper (near Daisy) to the company’s mill at Rosboro, Arkansas. Several logging branches were built from the C&C mainline but these were not considered part of the C&C. Traffic other than logs was rare and LCL business was hauled for free (as were passengers although at their own risk.) The lumber company turned over ownership of the C&C to the Memphis Dallas & Gulf Railroad in 1911. Two years later, MD&G had failed to live up to the sale agreement and the C&C was returned to the lumber company. The railroad closed in 1924.

Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
