Company History: BTRC was established in 2008 by a group of local farmers to buy the former Canadian Pacific line from Morden, Manitoba west to Thornhill, Darlingford, Manitou and Binney, a distance of 24 miles. In 2016, Canadian Pacific granted BTRC trackage rights from Morden east to a connection with the CP mainline at Rosenfeld, 27 miles distant. BTRC handles the small customers on the Morden-Rosenfeld segment while CP continues to serve the large grain loading operation on the line.
