Transportation Company - Baja California - Railroad

Company History: The BJRR runs from the Port of Entry at San Ysidro, California/Tijuana, Mexico to the city of Tecate about 44 miles to the east. Operations began in 2012. This line was part of the Tijuana & Tacate, often known as the Mexican segment of the old San Diego & Arizona Eastern. Traffic includes LPG, propane, lumber, pulp, borax, cattle feed, steel, paper, corn syrup, lard and corn. Connections are with the San Diego & Imperial Valley in San Ysidro.
Brief History:
Mexico is a country between the U.S. and Central America that's known for its Pacific and Gulf of Mexico beaches and its diverse landscape of mountains, deserts and jungles. Ancient ruins such as Teotihuacán and the Mayan city of Chichén Itzá are scattered throughout the country, as are Spanish colonial-era towns. In capital Mexico City, upscale shops, renowned museums and gourmet restaurants cater to modern life.
