Company History: This company provided streetcar and interurban service between Lewiston and Auburn, Maine. It was formed in 1919 to re-organize the Lewiston Augusta & Waterville Street Railway. Streetcar service ended in 1941. This line should not be confused with the Androscoggin & Kennebec Railroad which was a broad gauge steam road which merged with another line to form Maine Central in 1862.
