Company History: We are united by the philosophy of setting things in motion, tackling problems and making a difference. We are proud – especially at a time when people long for sustainable solutions for the mobility revolution – to have been doing precisely this for almost 100 years. We have been smoothing the way for the transportation of goods, people and commerce since 1929. We operate around the world without borders – with a focus on Germany and Europe.

We have years of experience behind us, but are forward-thinking. We have been working on ongoing development since our founding – our own development, as well as that of our machines and global mobility solutions. All this started with Heinrich! Heinrich Schweer is our founder and eponym, and established our company in 1929 with courage and drive. Heinrich passed away in 1955 and his son-in-law Gerhard Jelitto took over management of the business, thus continuing the family tradition. In 1986, Heinrich’s grandson Lutz Jelitto entered the family business and has been managing company activities to this day. Over the years, new locations and branch offices have been added and with them came new employees. While there were just 100 in 1990, in 2021 the company has around 700 employees – and growing.

Brief History: Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.
