Port Of Beaumont

Company History: Port Of Beaumont’s railroad was part of the Econo-Rail group and acts as a neutral terminal line for the Class One railroads serving the Texas port including BNSF, Union Pacific, and Kansas City Southern as well as KCS subsidiary Texas Mexican. Leaving the container business to other ports, Beaumont concentrates on bulk liquids (including crude oil,) grain, heavy lift and vehicles. In addition, the 842nd Transportation Battalion is located at the port facilitating military moves by rail. Econo-Rail has since changed its name to Trans-Global Solutions.
