Transportation Company - Philadelphia & Western - Railroad

Company History: The P&W launched in 1907 and before long had a line running northwest from their 69th Street Terminal in Philadelphia, through Bryn Mawr to Villanova. There the line split with one route heading west to Strafford and the other north to the Bridgeport-Norristown area. P&W was a standard gauge, electric interurban powered with a third rail. They hosted Lehigh Valley Transit trains from their connection in the Norristown area to Philadelphia. In 1954, P&W was sold to the Philadelphia Suburban Transit Company.

Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
