Company History: NDCR was launched in 1986 as a subsidiary of Horwith Leasing to run a half mile of industrial trackage in Northampton, Pennsylvania. The line was originally part of the Northampton & Bath Railroad. The name refers to the Northampton Development Center which the railroad serves. Despite its length, the line was reportedly quite busy through about 2010, requiring 3 locomotives to keep the cars moving. Traffic has subsided since then.
