Transportation Company - Modoc Northern - Railroad

Company History: The MNRR was launched in 2005 when they leased the former Southern Pacific line from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Alturas, California from Union Pacific. Shortly after startup, officials in Lake County, Oregon asked the MNRR to takeover operation of their Lake County Railway line from Alturas to Lakeview, Oregon. Traffic included forest products and perlite. Union Pacific grew unhappy with the MNRR and canceled the lease in 2009 and resumed operation themselves. Modoc Northern closed their doors, passing operation of the Lake County line to another operator. The MNRR made the finals of the Railroad Of The Day Worst Paint Scheme in North America poll. In fact I voted for it as the #1 Worst but in the end Modoc Northern finished 21st Worst. Green and brown, what were they thinking?
