Lake Line

Company History: This line opened in 2013 to take over operation of the former Canadian Pacific route between Gimli and Selkirk, plus an unconnected route from Beasejour to Molson, Manitoba. The company is customer owned. The two largest customers are the Diageo distillery in Gimli who ships whisky by the tank car load and Hudson Cement in Selkirk. They are also encouraging area farmers to ship by rail. The locomotive fleet has included a former Wabush Lake RS-18, an SW1001, a GP15 and various leased Canadian Pacific power.
