Transportation Company - Hondo - Railroad

Company History: The HRR opened in 2006 and operates about 5 miles of track serving Texas Liquid Terminal Incorporated’s liquid transfer terminal just west of San Antonio, Texas. Traffic includes, well, liquids – everything from ethanol to corn syrup. In the last few years, the energy boom dramatically increased traffic on the HRR, bringing many carloads of frac sand to the line to support drilling in the Eagle Ford Shale Formation. They have also been expanding their trans-load business with loads of crude oil, cornstarch, lumber and power plant equipment. Today, Hondo switches between 275 and 300 cars per week.
Brief History:
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
