Company History: The FRVT was esbablished in 2001 to replace Quincy Bay Terminal as the operator of the former Fore River Railroad which linked the Fore River Shipyard east of Quincy, Massachusetts to a connection with the New York New Haven & Hartford in East Braintree, 2 miles to the south. Today, the primary source of traffic is sludge from a water treatment plant with a Proctor & Gamble soap plant also contributing some business. The locomotive fleet consists of a pair of B23-7’s and a GP38.
