Company History: The FNOR was launched in 1988 by the Pinsly Railroad shortline group to takeover operation of a line from Lowell, Florida south through Ocala to Candler from CSX. This is a former Atlantic Coast Line route. In 2005, FNOR was expanded with the addition of a parallel but unconnected line to the west. This line, also a spin-off of CSX, runs from High Springs south to Red Level Junction. This is also a former Atlantic Coast Line route. Total length of the FNOR system is 104 miles. The new line includes an electric generating station as a customer. FNOR crews pick up the coal trains from CSX and deliver them to the station using the CSX locomotives.
Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
