Transportation Company - El Paso City Lines - Transit

Company History: This company was born at the end of 1943 when the local El Paso, Texas power company sold their trolley line, the El Paso Electric Railway Company and their connecting sister trolley line over the border in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to a subsidiary of National City Lines. National City Lines’ goal was to convert the trolley operation to buses. This happened incrementally with the last trolley route, which crossed the Rio Grande via the Stanton Street Bridge, closing in 1973. Four years later, the company was sold to the city of El Paso.
