Company History: Westvaco was a leading producer of printing and specialty papers in North America. Westvaco was founded as the Piedmont Pulp and Paper Company in 1899. It later changed name to The West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company and then again to Westvaco. It was merged into MeadWestVaco in 2002.
