Notes: Montblanc 2016 Patron of Art honors Peggy Guggenheim, a devotee of modern art with a fountain pen. Peggy Guggenheim is one of the most significant art collectors and exhibitors of 20th century; she dedicated most of her life caring the art of Venice museum. An art lover and promoter, she was devoted to her work. Montblanc Peggy Guggenheim 888 Patron of Art Limited Edition Fountain Pen is an extraordinary writing instrument with the engravings of lion heads on the red gold cap ring which is inspired by the exterior of the ‘palazzo venier dei leoni’, Peggy’s home. The cap ring is embroidered with 10 garnets in the eyes of the lions. The cone designed like the red and white striped mooring pillars in red gold and translucent red lacquer featuring a brilliant cut diamond rind at its end. And like other Montblanc pens, the Monblanc symbol in white marble crowns the writing instrument. The nib is engraved with the paws made of Au750 solid gold which is symbol of her affection for 14 lhasa apso dogs
