Company History: In 1987, Norfolk Southern sold the 21 mile former Wabash line between Columbia and Centralia, Missouri to the city of Columbia, who then established the Columbia Terminal Railroad under the auspices of the Water & Power Department. In addition to freight service, COLT hosted the Columbia Star Dinner Train which was pulled behind F7’s in Wabash colors. The dinner train has since been discontinued.
Brief History:
