Company History: This 11 mile independently owned shortline connects the U.S. Army’s Fort Bragg in North Carolina to a connection with the Aberbeen & Rockfish in Skibo. They also operate the trackage within the base. The line was originally built as a passenger trolley line but became a common carrier freight operation in 1923. Locomotives are lettered for the United States Army and were built specifically for the Army but it’s unclear if CF leases them or just uses them on behalf of the Army.
Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
