Company History: This line began as a 1995 spin-off from Conrail operating two lines in Connecticut. The first runs 9 miles from downtown Hartford to industries in Bloomfield and Griffins. This route was part of the original Central New England Railway that was later acquired by New York New Haven & Hartford. The other route runs from the Massachusetts state line to East Windsor Hill, a distance of about 13 miles. CNZR’s (Z?!) roster includes as of this writing one each of the following models: RS-1, GP10, GP9, GP9E, GP20 plus a pair of GE 25 Ton switchers. It’s likely that some of those are used as parts sources.
Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
