History: The Greek Navy built four submarines of the Proteus class: Proteus, Nereus, Triton and Glavkos. These ships were commisioned between 1927 and 1930. All of these were lost during the war with the exception of the Nereus.
The subs were armed with 8 torpedo tubes (6 bow and 2 stern) loaded with 21" torpedoes. They were also armed with a 3.9" deck gun and a 40mm AA gun. The maximum speed was 14 knots surface and 9.5 knots submerged. The subs were 68.6 meters long.
