Company History: The Barrie-Collingwood Railway (reporting mark CCGX), commonly referred to as the BCRY, is a shortline railway operating between the towns of Innisfil and Utopia in south central Ontario, Canada. This line was launched in 1998 to resume operation on an abandoned 63 mile Canadian National line from Innisfield through Barrie to Collingwood, Ontario. The track was purchased by their namesake towns and Cando Contracting Limited was brought in to run the trains under the Barrie Collingwood Railway name. In 2011, the town of Collingwood abandoned their portion (which only had a single customer) so only the line between Innisfield and Utopia remains in operation. This portion has four customers: Tarpin Lumber and Comet Chemical in Innisfield and Western Mechanical and Tag Environmental in Barrie.
