Company History: Leonard P. Pool founded Air Products in 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to design and build small oxygen plants to replace large volume cylinder oxygen supply. The company grew over the years organically as well as through acquisitions to become a global presence with operations in over 50 countries and with current annual revenues of over $8 billion. Air Products' headquarters is in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, in the United States.
With approximately 15,000 employees and operations in 50 countries, they serve customers across a wide range of industries, including refining, chemical, metals, electronics, manufacturing, and food and beverage. They supply a unique portfolio of atmospheric and process gases, equipment and services.
