Company History: This line began as a 1984 spinoff of Illinois Central Gulf then expanded greatly in 2001. Today, the WTNN runs from Corinth, Mississippi north completely through the western end of Tennessee to Fulton, Kentucky, plus a long branchline. The mainline and branch are both former Gulf Mobile & Ohio routes. Neighbors Canadian National and Norfolk Southern have been funding improvements to the WTNN mainline for use in their joint "Mid-America Corridor" linking northern Illinois and the southern states with a high capacity service lane. WTNN is related to South Central Tennessee Railroad and Tennken Railroad.
Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
