Notes: Venture further into the ocean than ever before with the impressive Rolex Deepsea as your trusty companion. Designed with a 44mm Oyster case with a screw-down case back and a Triplock winding down crown, this watch can withstand depths of up to 12,800 feet. The addition of a helium escape valve allows the reference 116660 to withstand these extreme depths without malfunctioning, allowing the wearer to conquer the depths of the ocean with confidence. Its updated design includes a Cerachrom, or ceramic, bezel that is scratch-resistant and corrosion proof to withstand years of exposure to sunlight and harsh salt water. One of the most popular features of this impressive sports watch is the black maxi dial set with large luminous hour markers and hands, making this Sea Dweller highly readable in even the darkest waters. The ultimate divers watch, this reference is also paired with a sturdy 904L stainless steel flat link Oyster bracelet with a folding Glidelock clasp that can be adjusted without the use of tools to comfortably fit over wetsuits.
Mechanism: The 3135 is a continuation of the 3035 series. Rolex launched it in 1977 and was profoundly different from its predecessors. As the company’s first high-beat movement, it increased the balance speed from 19,800 BPH to 28,800 BPH. This higher frequency has since become the standard across all of Rolex’s range. It also allowed the caliber to provide more accurate timekeeping and better withstand outside influences, such as shock. Like most Rolex mechanisms ending with a "5", this unit has a date function. All modern Rolex date-equipped mechanisms have a 'Quickset' feature as well.
The popular caliber 3135 measures 28.50 mm in diameter and 6.00 mm in height. The Submariner uses this caliber. This makes it quite large when compared with other Rolex movements. The larger size of the movement means that it is more robust and has the ability to incorporate more parts and components. This allows the watch that utilizes it to perform more reliably and durably. It also offers a frequency of 28.800 vph.

Family Notes: Since its production in 1967, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller has established itself as the world's most impressive dive watch. The Sea-Dweller can remain waterproof for up to 4,000 feet.
