Notes: Early Ladies automatic watch with rare subsidiary seconds. Dial with minute indicators in heavy applied metal.
Mechanism:
This movement features a classic ''butterfly'' oscillating weight, the weight has the words Oyster Perpetual and PATENTED written on the rim of it. The reverser system and the oscillating weight have come out wonderfully after the service was done by PTC. The reverser system works perfectly and the watch keeps great time, due to the timing and positional errors, as well as the age of this time piece, the time keeping accuracy is just 30-45 seconds per day.
Family Notes: In 1926, Hans Wilsdorf introduced the Oyster watch which used a waterproof case, hence the name. He added "Perpetual" to the name when in 1933 he introduced a reliable automatic self-winding watch. Hence the name means "Waterproof, Self-Winding" in Rolex-speak and generally means the watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters.
