Company History: Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, Beacon Intermodal Leasing, LLC (“Beacon”) is a group company of Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Company Limited (“MUL”).

MUL is a prominent global leasing company based in Japan and is publicly listed on the Tokyo and Nagoya Stock Exchanges and a member of MUFG, one of the world’s largest financial institutions. Since its incorporation in April 1971, MUL has responded to increasingly diverse customer needs by expanding into a variety of business domains, as well as its core lease and financing business, including: Engine Lease Finance, Jackson Square Aviation and MUL Railcars.

Successor/Parent History: Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (MUFG; 株式会社三菱UFJフィナンシャル・グループ Kabushiki Gaisha Mitsubishi Yūefujei Finansharu Gurūpu) is a Japanese bank holding and financial services company headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan.

MUFG holds assets of around US$2,459 billion as of 2016, making it the world's fifth largest bank by total assets and is one of the main companies of the Mitsubishi Group. It is Japan's largest financial group and the world's second largest bank holding company holding around US$1.8 trillion (JPY 148 trillion) in deposits as of March 2011. The letters MUFG come from Mitsubishi and United Financial of Japan, the name of an acquired company.
