Company History: Lokomotion Gesellschaft für Schienentraktion mbH is a railway company founded in 2000 and based in Munich, which operates in particular in Alpine transit via the Brenner Railway and the Tauern Railway between Germany and Italy or Slovenia. Shareholders are DB Cargo AG with 30%, Rail Traction Company SpA with 30%, STR-Brenner Schienentransport AG from Bolzano with 20% and Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co KG with 20%. The company's purpose is the planning, testing, marketing and implementation of rail traction services via the Brenner.

As a private rail transport company, we use the liberalization of the rail freight transport market across borders and thereby contribute to the shifting of road transport to environmentally sound railways - especially in the highly frequented and thus heavily polluted, sensitive Alpine ecosystem.

Today we are the leading tractors in transalpine freight transport on the Brenner and Tauern axes. We are constantly working with our dedicated staff and a modern, specialized vehicle fleet to offer this to our customers expand.
