Company History: The BC&G was established in 1904 and built an 18 mile line between the coal mines at Widen and a connection with the Baltimore & Ohio in Dundon, West Virginia. The line was affiliated with the Elk River Coal & Lumber Company who had their own 9 mile line that connected with the BC&G. The Buffalo Creek & Gauley never dieselized and operated until 1965 with steam power. Segments of the old BC&G were later operated by the Majestic Mining Company and later still the Elk River Railroad. A large section of right of way was washed out in 2016, complicating plans to offer tourist train service on this route

Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
