Transportation Company - Saint Louis Public Service - Transit

Company History: The StLPSCo. was the result of the 1927 reorganization of United Railways. The streetcar network was already down from their high of 300 miles of line in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area. In 1939, the company was acquired by National City Lines who was buying streetcar lines around the nation and gradually converting them to bus service. In 1963, with StLPSCo. PCC cars still working a handful of routes, National City Lines sold the company to the Bi-State Development Agency. The last streetcar routes were replaced with bus service just three years later.
Brief History:
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
