Company History: The Ranger Refining and Pipe Line Co. was formed in 1920. It acquired the plants of the Ranger Refining Co. at Ranger, Texas, the Gate City Refining Co. in Kansas City and the Hagaman refining plant at Tiffin, Texas. Thus with the acquisition of these refineries and pope lines, the same officers who so successfully conducted the affairs of the original company have welded together a complete system of approximately fifty miles of pipe lines in Ranger and Burburnett with loading racks, tankage and other equipment; three modern and up-to-date refiners, exceptionally well located, with a combined capacity of six thousand five hundred barrels of crude oil per day. They had a fleet of 319 tank cars that bear the legend "Ranger Refining and Pipe Line Co." which carried the products all over the United States.
Brief History: The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
