Company History: Established in 1956, the PTSC served as a 10 mile neutral terminal line in North Charleston, South Carolina. Traffic includes farm products, intermodal, and steel. The line was operated for years with a mix of five EMD and Alco locomotives including an S-2, two S-4’s an SW1001 and a GP9. The line was one of three in the South Carolina Public Railways group which were combined in 2013 to become Palmetto Railways.
