Specific Item Information: We will commercialize the N2000 series, which is an output-enhanced type of the 2000 series, which started mass production for the Kotoku line in 1997.
The mass-produced car, which appeared after the mass-produced preceding car, has renewed its image with its fearless front shape and coloring. The limited express "Uzushio" is mainly operated, but it is also applied to "Shimanto". Due to the transfer of new formats in recent years, it can now be seen on the Yosan Line "Uwakai". In addition, since there is a common operation with the 2000 series, it is a feature that various formation patterns can be seen by mixing with the 2000 series on other trains. There are also mass-produced preceding cars that have almost the same appearance as the 2000 series, with a total of three simple model configurations, the leading car (two types facing down and up) and the intermediate car.
Following the 2000 series, the N2000 series, which is an output-enhanced type, is now available. You can enjoy the difference and evolution process from the conventional car with a model. In addition to the well-organized formation of only the N2000 series seen in "Uzushio", in addition to the combination of "Nanpu" + "Uzushio", various formations unique to diesel cars that mix N2000 series and 2000 series can be reproduced. The limited express "Uzushio No. 4" 5-car set includes the mass-produced preceding car (2458).
Model Information: Kato boxed sets for Japanese Prototypes come in various shapes and sizes. These may contain complete train sets with track and power pack or may be as simple as a pair of passenger coaches. Many of the sets use "bookshelf" boxes with cardboard sleeves and carefully cut foam inserts.

Jei-āru Shikoku), is one of the constituent companies of Japan Railways Group (JR Group). It operates intercity rail services in the four prefectures on the island of Shikoku in Japan. Brand/Importer Information:
Kato Precision Railroad Models (関水金属株式会社 Sekisui Kinzoku Kabushikigaisha) is a Japanese manufacturer of model railroad equipment in N and HO scales. The Tokyo-based company manufactures models based on Japanese prototypes (such as the Shinkansen bullet train) for the Japanese market, North American prototypes for the North American market and European high-speed trains for European market.
The Kato (pronounced kah-toe) model railroad companies were founded by Yuji Kato, father of current president Hiroshi Kato, of the parent company Sekisui Kinzoku Co., Ltd.

The design and distribution of models for the North American market are handled by their U.S. subsidiary, Kato USA, located in Schaumburg, Illinois.
The design of special models for the European market is handled for some of them by their partner, Lemke, whereas the general distribution of Kato products in Europe is handled by NOCH; both companies are located in Germany.
As a result, some Kato European models are sold as Kato Lemke and others as Kato (alone).
