Prototype History:
TrinityRail’s extensive railcar product portfolio has a complete line of covered hopper cars including a 5,161 cubic foot covered hopper car optimized to transport agricultural products, sugar, dry chemicals, or other similar products. In 1995, Trinity Industries introduced a new center-sill design covered hopper car designed primarily for grain transport. The new design was visually quite different - this one featured curved sides versus previously familiar rib-sided design adopted from Pullman-Standard.
Road Name History:
CGB has been an innovative and progressive leader in the grain and transportation industries since 1970, when it began modestly in a small office in St. Louis, Missouri with three employees. Today, CGB operates a global enterprise with over 2,000 employees overseeing a diverse family of businesses. The company provides an array of services for grain farmers, from buying, storing, selling and shipping of the crop, to financing and risk management. CGB continues to be one of the largest shippers of grain on the inland river system.

The company's entrepreneurial approach has thrived over 40 years as CGB has expanded in many new directions. Natural extensions have included the addition of soybean processing and fertilizer products. Moving these agricultural products from farmer to market created a huge demand for safe and efficient transportation and logistics operations through the national inland river system. The need for that infrastructure was met with the creation of CTLC (Consolidated Terminals and Logistics Co.) which was formed to provide overall logistics, transportation and bulk commodity services.

In addition to servicing CGB's core businesses, CTLC's operation has expanded to include a global base of customers who need reliable transportation and logistics services. An outgrowth of CGB's extensive transportation and logistical network, CTLC is a free-standing transportation company that services a wide range of customers far beyond the agricultural industry, providing transportation solutions using truck, rail and barge.
Brand/Importer Information:
The LBF company was based in Roseburg Oregon founded by Fred Becker. LBF was the successor company to E&C Shops, also founded by Becker. LBF also did business under the name USA Plastics. USA Plastics/LBF opened for business in 1993. They produced N Scale models using toolings purchased from the E&C Company. Later, in 1998, LBF folded and the toolings were sold to Hubert's Model RR Manufacturing group which was also located in Roseburg. Hubert had been one of Becker's partners in LBF/USA Plastics. Later, when Hubert's operation folded, the toolings were acquired by InterMountain.
