Specific Item Information: The 1950s Leyland Royal Tiger Southdown in N scale, in which the eye-catching fresh green and cream of the Southdown Motor Services bus and coach company is complete in every detail, even down to the gleaming chromework and separate sideboards inviting potential clients to ‘Hire Southdown for your Private Party’. Model Information: Factory painted and assembled, the Oxford Diecast line of metal vehicle models are 1:148 (British) N-Scale.
Road Name History: Southdown Motor Services Ltd operates bus and coach services in East and West Sussex and parts of Hampshire, in southern England. It was formed in 1915 and had various owners throughout its history, being purchased by the National Bus Company (NBC) in 1969. The company fleet name was lost when it was acquired by the Stagecoach Group in 1989 but continues as the legal name of Stagecoach in the South Downs, part of Stagecoach South.
Manufacturer Information:
Established in 1993, Oxford Diecast is a British Company that specializes in high-quality die-cast metal vehicles. Produced in various scales, the firm's models are marketed as collector items, gifts, and promotional products. Their largest production goes to OO scale (1:76) and in 2015 they introduced railway products under 'Oxford Rail' brand.
Their N-scale collection is using the 1:148 scale ratio as most British manufacturers.
