Company History: The FCRK ran four and a half miles of line between Falls Creek and McMinns Summit, Pennsylvania. It was launched in 1980 as a partnership between Kennedy Railroad Builders and Benjamin Coal Company to take over operation of this former Pennsylvania Railroad route. The big source of traffic was a coal mine in Falls Creek. Their pair of Alco S-2 switchers was supplemented with a pair of CF7’s in 1984. The line closed in the Spring of 1988 when Benjamin Coal declared bankruptcy.
